Tissue paper for packing manufacturers

Selecting the correct weight is vital for both protection and aesthetics. For standard gift wrapping, a weight of 14-17 GSM is ideal as it offers the perfect balance of translucency and strength. For industrial cushioning or heavy-duty wrapping, look for 20-28 GSM to prevent tearing. Always ensure the paper has high tensile strength to withstand tension during the packing process.

Buyers should distinguish between MF (Machine Finished) and MG (Machine Glazed) paper. MG paper has a shiny side and is smoother, making it better for high-end branding. From a sustainability perspective, prioritize FSC-certified (Forest Stewardship Council) materials or 100% recycled content to meet international environmental regulations and appeal to eco-conscious consumers.

If you require custom logos, ensure the supplier uses acid-free and sulfur-free paper to prevent tarnishing of jewelry or discoloration of textiles. Verify that they use soy-based or water-based inks, which are non-toxic and bleed-resistant. Request a Pantone color match to ensure brand consistency across bulk production runs.

Quality validation should focus on colorfastness (the ink should not transfer to the product when wet) and pH neutrality. For luxury goods, the paper must be non-abrasive to avoid scratching delicate surfaces. Request third-party lab reports or physical samples to test the 'crinkle' quality and softness before placing a large-scale order.

The primary risks include moisture damage during sea transit and inconsistent GSM weights across batches. To mitigate this, insist on waterproof pallet packaging (using PE stretch film and desiccants) and specify a weight tolerance of +/- 5% in your purchase contract.

Tissue paper is a 'volumetric' product. To reduce costs, negotiate for vacuum compression packaging or flat-pack bulk sheets rather than rolls. For large orders, FOB (Free On Board) terms are often more economical, allowing you to consolidate the paper with other goods in a single container via Made-in-China.com verified logistics partners.

Ensure the product complies with REACH (EU) or FDA (US) standards if the paper will come into contact with food or cosmetics. For the European market, CE marking and EN 13432 (if claiming compostability) are essential to avoid customs seizures and legal liabilities.

Always use secure payment methods and consider third-party inspection services before the final balance is paid. On platforms like Made-in-China.com, look for 'Audit Suppliers' who have undergone comprehensive on-site checks of their manufacturing capabilities and financial standing.
