Sodium fluoride manufacturers

Buyers must prioritize the purity level, typically ranging from 98% to 99% min for industrial grades. For specialized applications like water fluoridation, ensure the product meets AWWA B701-11 standards. For toothpaste manufacturing, a USP or BP grade is mandatory to ensure pharmaceutical-grade safety. Additionally, pay attention to the physical form (powder vs. granular); granular forms are often preferred in large-scale water treatment to minimize hazardous dust inhalation.

As a chemical product, Sodium Fluoride must be accompanied by a comprehensive Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) or Safety Data Sheet (SDS) compliant with GHS (Globally Harmonized System). For export to the EU, REACH registration is critical. If the product is intended for food-contact or oral care, verify ISO 22000 (Food Safety Management) or GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) certifications to ensure the absence of heavy metal contaminants like Lead (Pb) or Arsenic (As), which should be <10ppm.

Sodium Fluoride is sensitive to moisture and is a toxic substance. Standard packaging should involve 25kg plastic woven bags with a PE inner liner or UN-approved fiber drums for hazardous transport. Ensure the supplier uses moisture-proof sealing to prevent caking. Storage must be in a cool, dry, well-ventilated area away from acids, as contact with acids can release highly toxic hydrogen fluoride gas.

Sodium Fluoride is classified under UN Number 1690, Class 6.1 (Toxic Substances). You must ensure the supplier provides a Dangerous Goods (DG) Certificate and uses carriers experienced in handling IMO Class 6.1 cargo. Failure to declare hazardous materials correctly can lead to heavy fines, shipment seizure, or port rejection. Always confirm the Port of Loading has the capability to handle toxic chemicals.

Utilize Made-in-China.com's 'Audited Supplier' reports to verify the manufacturer's production capacity and legal standing. For payment security, use Escrow services or Letter of Credit (L/C) to ensure funds are only released upon verification of shipping documents. It is highly recommended to hire a third-party inspection agency (like SGS or Intertek) to perform pre-shipment sampling and testing to confirm the fluoride content and impurity limits match the COA (Certificate of Analysis).

Sodium Fluoride prices are influenced by the cost of raw materials like Fluorspar. Negotiate based on volume tiers, as orders exceeding 20 metric tons (a full 20ft container) typically qualify for significant discounts.
