Slow jig manufacturers

Focus on the asymmetrical body design which creates the essential 'flutter' or 'falling leaf' action. Ensure the center of gravity is precisely balanced (usually center-weighted or slightly rear-weighted). The finish must use high-strength UV or luminous (glow-in-the-dark) paint with a multi-layer anti-corrosion topcoat to withstand saltwater and deep-sea pressure. For the lead alloy, a high-density lead-antimony mix is preferred for hardness and durability.

Verify that the supplier complies with REACH or RoHS standards, especially regarding lead leakage and heavy metal content in the paint. For specific markets like California, ensure Prop 65 warnings are addressed if applicable. Request salt spray test reports (usually 48-72 hours) to confirm the durability of the holographic foils and clear coats against oxidation.

Buyers should source a range of weights: 80g-150g for shallow reefs (30-50m) and 200g-500g for deep-drop applications (100m+). The hydrodynamic profile is critical; slim jigs are better for high-current areas to reduce line drag, while wider, flat-bottomed jigs are superior for low-current scenarios where maximum vibration and hang-time are needed.

Professional B2B buyers should inquire about custom foil patterns (holographic, scale, or zebra) and bespoke glow patterns. Discuss the option of pre-rigging with assist hooks; if choosing this, specify BKK or Mustad high-carbon steel hooks and PE braided assist lines with a fluorocarbon core to prevent tangling. Ensure the stainless steel solid rings are seamless and rated for specific break strengths (e.g., 100lb-300lb).

Always request a pre-production sample to test the 'fall action' in a water tank. Utilize third-party inspection services to check for paint chipping, weight accuracy (tolerance should be within ±2%), and hook sharpness. On platforms like Made-in-China.com, prioritize Audited Suppliers who have undergone verified on-site inspections of their manufacturing facilities.

Since slow jigs are high-density and heavy, Sea Freight (LCL or FCL) is the most cost-effective method for bulk orders to reduce the Total Cost of Ownership (TCO). For smaller trial orders, Air Freight is fast but expensive due to weight. Ensure the packaging uses reinforced double-wall corrugated cartons and individual blister packs to prevent the jigs from scratching each other during transit.

Negotiate based on unpainted 'blank' jigs vs. fully finished products; you can often get a 15-20% discount by ordering larger quantities of the same mold even if the colors vary. Standard MOQs for custom colors are usually 50-100 pieces per color/weight. Ask for tiered pricing (e.g., 500, 1000, and 5000 units) to understand the supplier's scalability.

Use Secured Payment services provided by reputable B2B platforms like Made-in-China.com to ensure funds are only released after the buyer confirms receipt and quality. Avoid direct wire transfers to unknown accounts. Ensure the Proforma Invoice (PI) clearly states the lead alloy composition, weight specifications, and packaging details to avoid disputes.
