I have found results from1000+products and400+suppliers aboutLight green capsules
When sourcing capsules, you must first define the material composition, typically choosing between Gelatin (bovine or porcine) and HPMC (Vegetable/Vegan). For 'Light Green' specifically, ensure the pigments used (such as Chlorophyll or FD&C Yellow 5/Blue 1) are food-grade and stable. Key technical parameters include Capsule Size (ranging from #000 to #5), Disintegration Time (usually <15 minutes), and Moisture Content (13-16% for gelatin, 3-7% for HPMC) to prevent brittleness or stickiness.
Compliance is non-negotiable in the pharmaceutical and nutraceutical industries. You should prioritize suppliers who hold GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) and ISO 22000 certifications. For the US market, ensure the facility is FDA Registered, and for European markets, verify REACH and EFSA compliance regarding titanium dioxide (E171) usage, as regulations on whitening agents are tightening. Always request a COA (Certificate of Analysis) for every batch to verify heavy metal limits and microbial purity.
You must confirm the locking mechanism (e.g., Snap-Fit or Coni-Snap design) to prevent leakage during high-speed filling. Discuss the brittleness factor; high-quality capsules should not crack under mechanical pressure. Additionally, verify the UV-protection capabilities of the light green pigment if your filling material is light-sensitive. Ask for stability test data to ensure the color does not fade and the shell does not deform under standard storage conditions (15-25°C, 35-65% RH).
The biggest risks are moisture damage during transit and customs rejection due to non-compliant ingredients. Capsules are highly sensitive to humidity; ensure the supplier uses heavy-duty moisture-proof packaging (aluminum foil bags) and desiccants. To avoid customs issues, double-check that the dyes used in the light green shell are permitted in your destination country, as some synthetic greens are banned in specific regions.
Utilize the Secured Trading Service on Made-in-China.com to protect your payment until delivery is confirmed. When negotiating, do not just focus on the unit price; negotiate the MOQ for custom colors and request a pre-shipment inspection (PSI) by a third party like SGS or Intertek. Clearly define the defective rate threshold (usually <0.01%) in your contract, and stipulate that the supplier is responsible for replacement costs if the capsules fail to perform on your filling machines.
For large volumes, Sea Freight with Temperature-Controlled Containers (Reefer) is recommended if you are shipping through tropical zones to prevent melting or sticking. For smaller trial orders, Air Freight is faster and reduces the time the product spends in uncontrolled environments. Always ensure the Bill of Lading and Commercial Invoice clearly state the HS Code (typically 9602.00 for empty capsules) to facilitate smooth customs clearance.
