Kama generator manufacturers

When evaluating a Kama generator, you must prioritize the engine type (typically single-cylinder, 4-stroke, air-cooled diesel) and the rated power output versus maximum power output. Ensure the alternator uses 100% copper winding rather than aluminum to guarantee conductivity and longevity. Additionally, check for AVR (Automatic Voltage Regulator) integration to protect sensitive electronic equipment from voltage fluctuations.

For the European market, CE certification and Stage V emission standards are essential. For the North American market, look for EPA or CARB compliance. Globally, the manufacturer should hold ISO 9001 for quality management and ISO 14001 for environmental management. Always request noise level test reports (LwA) to ensure the unit meets local environmental noise ordinances.

Authentic Kama products are manufactured by Wuxi Kama Power Co., Ltd. Buyers should verify the anti-counterfeit labels and the unique engine serial number stamped on the crankcase. Request a factory inspection video or a third-party pre-shipment inspection (PSI) to confirm the use of genuine components, as the market often contains 'Kama-type' clones of inferior quality.

Kama generators are ideal for prime power in construction sites, agricultural irrigation, and emergency home backup. Maintenance is critical: the first oil change should occur after 20 hours of operation, followed by every 100 hours. Ensure the supplier provides a comprehensive spare parts kit including air filters, fuel filters, and gaskets to minimize downtime in remote locations.

The biggest risks include non-compliance with local emission laws, which can lead to customs seizure, and damage during transit due to the unit's weight. To mitigate this, ensure the supplier uses reinforced plywood crates (IPPC certified) rather than simple cartons and confirm that the battery is disconnected and terminals insulated according to international maritime dangerous goods (IMDG) regulations.

Focus on the Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) rather than just the unit price. Negotiate for extended warranties (18-24 months) and the inclusion of wear-and-tear parts in the initial quote. For bulk orders, aim for a 10-15% discount or request customized branding (OEM) and specific color schemes at no extra cost if ordering more than 50 units.

Always utilize Secured Trading services on Made-in-China.com to ensure your payment is held in escrow until the goods are shipped. Use Letter of Credit (L/C) for very large volumes or Telegraphic Transfer (T/T) with a 30% deposit and 70% balance against the Bill of Lading (B/L) copy. Never send funds to private bank accounts; only use verified corporate accounts.

Due to the weight and the presence of residual oil/magnets, generators are often classified as Class 9 Dangerous Goods or require specific declarations. Choose FOB (Free On Board) terms if you have a reliable freight forwarder who understands heavy-lift logistics and customs clearance in your destination country. Ensure the Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) is included in the shipping documentation.
