Honey jujube manufacturers

When sourcing Honey Jujubes, prioritize uniform size, plumpness, and skin integrity. The fruit should have a translucent, golden-brown to deep red hue without dark spots or crystallization on the surface. High-quality products use natural honey rather than high-fructose corn syrup, resulting in a moist but not sticky texture and a natural floral aroma.

Ensure the supplier complies with ISO 22000 or HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points) for food safety management. For international trade, verify the moisture content (typically 15-25%) to prevent mold, and check for sulfur dioxide residue levels, which must meet the destination country's regulatory limits (e.g., FDA or EFSA standards). Request a Certificate of Analysis (COA) for every batch.

Honey Jujubes are typically processed via vacuum low-temperature soaking or traditional boiling. Vacuum-processed jujubes retain more nutrients (Vitamin C and Cyclic AMP) and have a fresher taste. For industrial food processing (bakery/confectionery), specify 'pitted' (seedless) jujubes. For retail/snacking, ensure nitrogen-flushed packaging or vacuum sealing to extend shelf life to 12-18 months.

Buyers must ensure the product meets Phytosanitary requirements. In the US, the facility must be FDA registered, and the product must comply with FSMA (Food Safety Modernization Act). In the EU, check for pesticide residue compliance and heavy metal limits. Always confirm if the labeling includes mandatory information like ingredients, allergens, and nutritional facts in the local language.

The primary risks include moisture-induced spoilage during transit and non-compliance with additive regulations. To mitigate this, use temperature-controlled containers (reefers) if shipping to tropical climates and conduct pre-shipment inspections (PSI) through third parties like SGS or Intertek to verify that the sugar-to-fruit ratio matches the contract.

Focus on Tiered Pricing based on volume and Packaging Customization (OEM/ODM). Ask for Free Samples but offer to cover the air express cost to show sincerity. Negotiate for a 30% deposit and 70% balance against the Bill of Lading (B/L), and prioritize suppliers with the 'Audited Supplier' badge on Made-in-China.com to ensure factory legitimacy.

Honey Jujubes are sensitive to heat and humidity. Ensure the cargo is stored in a cool, dry, and ventilated environment (ideally below 20°C). Request palletized shipping to minimize manual handling damage. For sea freight, ensure the use of desiccants inside the container to prevent 'container rain' from affecting the outer cartons.

Utilize Secured Payment services provided by Made-in-China.com to ensure funds are only released upon proof of shipment. Clearly define Quality Discrepancy Clauses in the sales contract, specifying the compensation process if the Brix level (sugar content) or microbiological count exceeds agreed limits upon arrival.
