Fruit carts manufacturers

When sourcing fruit carts, prioritize 304-grade stainless steel for the main frame to ensure rust resistance and food safety. For mobile units, ensure the wheels are heavy-duty polyurethane (PU) casters with a locking mechanism to handle weights of at least 200kg-500kg. If the cart includes display surfaces, look for food-grade reinforced plastics or tempered glass that can withstand daily cleaning and impact.

For carts intended for pre-cut or temperature-sensitive fruits, verify the use of high-efficiency compressors (such as Secop or Embraco) and R290 or R600a eco-friendly refrigerants. The insulation layer should be at least 50mm thick high-density polyurethane foam to maintain a stable internal temperature of 2°C to 8°C, even in outdoor environments.

Ensure the supplier provides CE certification for electrical components and NSF/ANSI standards for food equipment sanitation. For the US market, UL or ETL listing is critical for powered units, while European markets require RoHS compliance for electronic parts and LFGB certification for materials in contact with food.

Most professional manufacturers on Made-in-China.com offer OEM/ODM services. You should request customized LED signage, vinyl wrap branding, and adjustable shelving layouts. Ensure the supplier can provide CAD or 3D renderings before production to verify that the dimensions fit your specific retail space or street vending regulations.

The biggest risks include shipping damage and high volumetric freight costs. To mitigate this, request seaworthy plywood crate packaging rather than just cardboard. Additionally, ask the supplier if the cart can be shipped in a knock-down (KD) state to reduce the shipping volume, provided they include a detailed assembly manual or video guide.

Utilize the Secured Trading Service on Made-in-China.com to protect your payment until the goods are shipped. It is highly recommended to hire a third-party inspection agency (like SGS or Intertek) to perform a Pre-Shipment Inspection (PSI) to check the welding quality, electrical safety, and load-bearing capacity before the final balance is paid.

Negotiate based on Total Cost of Ownership (TCO). Instead of just pushing for a lower unit price, ask for spare parts kits (extra casters, hinges, or light bulbs) to be included for free. For orders exceeding 10 units, aim for a 10-15% discount or request the supplier to cover the port handling charges (THC) at the origin.

For bulky items like carts, LCL (Less than Container Load) is common, but ensure you understand the Incoterms. FOB (Free on Board) is preferred for experienced buyers to control freight costs, while DDP (Delivered Duty Paid) is better for beginners as the supplier handles all customs clearance and import duties, delivering the cart directly to your warehouse.
