Empty cartridge manufacturers

For high-viscosity oils, you must prioritize ceramic heating elements (such as CCELL technology) over traditional cotton wicks to prevent burnt tastes. Ensure the aperture (intake hole) size is appropriate; typically, 2.0mm holes are standard for thick oils, while 1.2mm to 1.6mm are better for thinner distillates. Additionally, verify the tank material is medical-grade borosilicate glass or BPA-free PCTG to ensure chemical stability and prevent leaching.

Compliance is non-negotiable in this category. You must require suppliers to provide Heavy Metal Testing Reports (specifically for Lead, Arsenic, Cadmium, and Mercury) conducted by third-party labs like SGS or TUV. Ensure the products comply with RoHS (Restriction of Hazardous Substances) and CE certification. For the US market, verify that the materials meet FDA-grade standards for food-contact safety.

Press-on (Child-resistant) mouthpieces are designed for permanent sealing using a manual or automatic press machine, making them ideal for high-volume automated filling lines and ensuring tamper-evidence. Screw-on mouthpieces offer more flexibility for manual assembly and allow for re-capping, which is often preferred by smaller boutique brands or for R&D sampling.

Request information on the sealing architecture, specifically looking for multi-layer silicone gaskets at the base and mouthpiece connection. Ask the supplier for their failure rate data; top-tier manufacturers maintain a leakage rate of less than 0.1%. It is advisable to perform a vacuum pressure test on samples to simulate altitude changes during air freight.

The most significant risk is heavy metal contamination from low-quality brass components. Always insist on Lead-Free Copper internals. Another risk is incompatibility with filling machines; always send your filling machine specifications to the supplier or request pre-production samples to test the fit and jig alignment before placing a bulk order.

Utilize the Secured Trading Service on Made-in-China.com to protect your payments. Negotiate a 30% deposit and 70% balance payment after a successful pre-shipment inspection. Clearly define the AQL (Acceptable Quality Level) in your contract, specifying that any batch exceeding a 1% defect rate must be replaced or refunded.

Empty cartridges are fragile and sensitive to pressure. Ensure the supplier uses custom-fit foam trays (EVA) rather than bulk plastic bags to prevent breakage. For international shipping, request double-walled corrugated outer cartons and palletization with shrink wrap to protect against moisture and rough handling during transit.

Customs scrutiny is high for vape-related hardware. Ensure the HS Code (typically 8543.40 or 3926.90) is correctly declared to avoid seizures. Be aware of anti-dumping duties or specific regional bans (like the PACT Act in the US); always work with a freight forwarder who specializes in vape logistics to navigate the evolving legal landscape.
