For premium protection and durability, you should prioritize Liquid Silicone (LSR) for its soft-touch feel and dust resistance, or TPU (Thermoplastic Polyurethane) for superior shock absorption. If you are targeting the luxury market, Genuine Leather or High-Grade PU with reinforced inner shells are recommended. Ensure the material thickness is at least 1.5mm to 2.0mm to provide adequate drop protection without interfering with wireless charging compatibility.

To prevent fading or peeling, specify IMD (In-Mould Decoration) or IML (In-Mould Labeling) technologies, which trap the design between plastic layers. For logos, Laser Engraving or Embossing offers the highest permanence. If using UV printing, ensure the supplier applies a protective top-coat (matte or glossy) and passes a 3M tape adhesion test to verify print stability.

Since these cases come into frequent skin contact, they must comply with REACH (EU) or California Proposition 65 (US) regarding phthalates and heavy metals. If the case includes integrated electronics (like a battery), CE, FCC, and RoHS certifications are mandatory. For eco-conscious brands, look for GRS (Global Recycled Standard) certified materials to appeal to sustainable consumer segments.

Request a 1:1 physical prototype or a high-precision 3D technical drawing showing the charging port cutout and pairing button alignment. The tolerance should be kept within ±0.05mm. Ensure the design includes a dust plug for the charging port and a visible hole for the LED indicator light to ensure full functionality is maintained.

Ensure you have the legal right or authorization to use any logos or brand names. When sourcing from Made-in-China.com, prioritize Audited Suppliers who have experience with OEM/ODM for international brands. Avoid designs that are exact replicas of patented industrial designs unless you are the patent holder, as these can be seized by Customs and Border Protection (CBP).

Start by requesting a tiered pricing structure (e.g., 500, 1000, and 5000 units). You can often negotiate a lower MOQ for the first order by offering to pay the mold fee upfront. Remind the supplier that a successful trial will lead to long-term repeat orders. Always clarify if the quoted price is FOB (Free On Board) to avoid unexpected local logistics costs.

Use Trade Assurance or secure payment terms offered through Made-in-China.com to protect your funds until delivery. Hire a third-party inspection agency (like V-Trust or QIMA) to perform a Pre-Shipment Inspection (PSI). The inspector should check for color consistency (Pantone matching), hinge durability, and packaging integrity to ensure the goods arrive in retail-ready condition.

For small trial batches (under 100kg), Air Express (DHL/FedEx/UPS) is best for speed (3-7 days). For bulk commercial stock, Sea Freight (LCL) is the most economical, though it takes 25-40 days. If shipping to the US or Europe, consider DDP (Delivered Duty Paid) terms to have the supplier handle all customs clearance and import duties, simplifying your internal logistics.
