Bean protein manufacturers

Buyers should prioritize the Protein Content, which typically ranges from 50% to 90% (Isolates vs. Concentrates). Ensure the PDCAAS (Protein Digestibility Corrected Amino Acid Score) is high, ideally near 1.0 for soy or 0.7-0.8 for pea protein. Additionally, verify the Particle Size (Mesh) to ensure it meets your application needs, such as 80-100 mesh for smooth beverages or thicker textures for meat analogues.

The product must adhere to HACCP and ISO 22000 food safety management systems. For specific markets, FDA registration is required for the U.S., while EFSA compliance is necessary for the EU. Furthermore, Non-GMO Project Verification is a critical market requirement, alongside Halal and Kosher certifications to broaden consumer reach.

Request data on Solubility, Emulsification, and Water-Binding Capacity. For dairy alternatives, high solubility is vital to prevent sedimentation. For meat substitutes, look for Textured Vegetable Protein (TVP) with high fiber strength. Always request a Certificate of Analysis (COA) for every batch to check for Heavy Metals (Lead, Arsenic) and Microbiological limits (Salmonella, E. coli).

Analyze the Protein-to-Cost ratio rather than just the price per kilogram. Consider the Shelf Life, which should be at least 18-24 months under proper storage to reduce waste. Sourcing from regions with integrated supply chains, such as those found on Made-in-China.com, can offer 15-20% cost savings due to economies of scale in raw material processing.

The biggest risks include Adulteration (mixing with cheaper nitrogen sources) and Moisture Damage during transit. To mitigate this, use Third-Party Inspections (like SGS or Intertek) before shipment and ensure the use of Palletized Packaging with Desiccants to maintain a moisture level below 7%.

Focus on Tiered Pricing based on annual volume rather than single orders. Negotiate for Free Samples (500g - 1kg) for lab testing. For long-term partnerships, request Fixed-Price Contracts for 6-12 months to hedge against the volatility of raw bean commodity prices.

Use Food-Grade Containers and specify 'Dry Van' shipping to avoid temperature fluctuations that cause condensation. Ensure all documentation, including the Phytosanitary Certificate and Health Certificate, is perfectly aligned with the HS Code (typically 2106.10) to avoid customs delays and additional storage fees.

Utilize Secure Payment Services provided by reputable platforms like Made-in-China.com to ensure funds are only released upon proof of shipment. Always verify the supplier's Business License and check if they have a Gold Member status or audited supplier badge to confirm their manufacturing legitimacy.
