Acesulfame potassium price manufacturers

When sourcing Acesulfame Potassium, you must ensure the product meets FCC (Food Chemicals Codex) or USP/EP standards. Key parameters include a purity assay of 99.0% to 101.0%, a moisture content of ≤0.1%, and heavy metal limits (Lead ≤1mg/kg). The price is often influenced by the particle size (mesh count); for instance, granular (30-100 mesh) is typically easier to handle in production, while powdered forms may offer faster dissolution but require different storage considerations.

Compliance is non-negotiable for food additives. You must verify that the supplier holds ISO 22000 or FSSC 22000 food safety management certifications. For specific markets, ensure the product is KOSHER and HALAL certified. If exporting to the EU, the product must have an E950 designation and comply with REACH regulations. For the US market, ensure the manufacturer is FDA registered. Suppliers on Made-in-China.com who provide Third-Party Inspection Reports (such as SGS or Intertek) are preferred to mitigate safety risks.

The price is primarily driven by the cost of raw materials (such as sulfamic acid and diketene) and environmental regulation compliance in the manufacturing region. Energy costs and production capacity shifts among major global manufacturers also play a role. To secure the best price, buyers should consider bulk purchasing (orders >5 tons) to leverage economies of scale, which can reduce the unit price by 10-15% compared to LCL (Less than Container Load) orders.

Acesulfame Potassium is highly stable, but for commercial inventory management, it should be stored in a cool, dry, and well-ventilated area away from strong odors. The standard shelf life is 3 years. Ensure the packaging consists of PE-lined fiber drums or high-strength cartons (25kg standard) to prevent moisture absorption, which can lead to caking and affect the economic value of the stock.

The main risks include Customs seizure due to improper labeling and quality degradation during maritime transit. Always ensure the MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheet) is included in the shipping documents. To protect your transaction, use Trade Assurance services or Letter of Credit (L/C) payment terms, and consider a pre-shipment inspection to verify that the batch number matches the COA (Certificate of Analysis) provided.

Focus on volume-based pricing tiers and annual quantity commitments. Suppliers are more likely to offer a fixed price for 6-12 months if you provide a clear rolling forecast. Mentioning your sourcing through reputable platforms like Made-in-China.com signals that you are a professional buyer. Always request a paid sample (100g-500g) before signing a master agreement to validate the sweetness profile and solubility.

Since it is a non-hazardous chemical, it can be shipped via standard sea freight (FCL is most cost-effective). For urgent production needs, air freight is viable but significantly increases the TCO (Total Cost of Ownership). Ensure the supplier uses pallets with shrink-wrap to prevent shifting during transit. For shipping to the US or Europe, clarify the Incoterms (typically FOB or CIF) to determine who bears the risk and cost of import duties and port handling fees.
