You should focus on the DPI (Dots Per Inch) sensitivity, typically ranging from 800 to 4800 DPI for standard office use, and higher for gaming. Ensure the micro-switch lifespan is rated for at least 3 to 5 million clicks to guarantee durability. Additionally, verify the polling rate (125Hz to 1000Hz) to ensure smooth cursor movement and Plug-and-Play compatibility across Windows, macOS, and Linux systems.

For the US market, FCC certification is required to ensure electromagnetic interference levels are safe. For the EU, products must carry the CE mark and comply with RoHS (Restriction of Hazardous Substances) to ensure no toxic materials like lead or mercury are used. If the mouse features optical or laser sensors, ensure it meets IEC 60825-1 laser safety standards to protect end-user vision.

Assess the surface treatment, looking for UV coating or rubberized oil finishes that prevent sweat-slippage and wear. Check the weight distribution; a standard office mouse should weigh between 70g and 100g for comfort. Test the scroll wheel tactile feedback and ensure the USB cable (PVC or braided) has a reinforced SR (Strain Relief) joint to prevent internal wire breakage during frequent movement.

Optical mice use LED lights and are highly cost-effective for standard office environments with mouse pads. Laser mice are more sensitive and can track on glossy or glass surfaces, making them ideal for premium executive kits or high-precision professional tasks. For bulk procurement, optical mice offer the best ROI (Return on Investment) due to lower unit costs and high reliability.

Implement a Pre-Shipment Inspection (PSI) using the AQL (Acceptable Quality Level) 2.5/4.0 standard. Request the supplier to perform a 48-hour aging test on a random sample from the production lot. For secure transactions, use Escrow services or Trade Terms provided by reputable platforms like Made-in-China.com to ensure payment is only released upon confirmation of quality.

Negotiate based on tiered pricing structures; for example, a 10-15% discount is typical when moving from 1,000 units to 5,000 units. If you are a startup, negotiate a lower MOQ for the first 'trial' order by offering to pay a slightly higher unit price, with the agreement that the difference will be credited toward your first full-scale bulk order.

For high-value or urgent samples, use International Express (DHL/FedEx/UPS) which takes 3-5 days. For bulk inventory, Sea Freight (LCL - Less than Container Load) is the most economical, but ensure the supplier uses moisture-proof packaging and anti-static bags to protect the internal PCB (Printed Circuit Board) from humid sea air during transit.

Always check the HS Code (typically 8471.60) for computer peripherals in your country to calculate Import Duties and VAT. Be aware of Anti-Dumping duties or specific trade barriers between your country and the manufacturing hub. Utilizing FOB (Free On Board) terms allows you better control over the logistics costs and customs clearance process compared to CIF.
