Restaurant door manufacturers

For restaurant environments, durability and hygiene are paramount. Stainless steel (Grade 304) is the industry standard for kitchen doors due to its corrosion resistance and ease of sanitization. For front-of-house entrances, tempered safety glass (minimum 10mm-12mm thickness) combined with anodized aluminum frames offers a balance of aesthetic appeal and structural integrity. If choosing wood, ensure it is solid core with a high-pressure laminate (HPL) finish to resist moisture and impact.

Kitchen doors, often called 'traffic doors' or 'impact doors,' must feature heavy-duty spring hinges that allow for 180-degree double-action swinging. It is critical to specify polycarbonate vision panels (windows) at eye level to prevent collisions between staff. Additionally, stainless steel kick plates (usually 10-12 inches high) should be installed on the bottom to protect the door from damage caused by heavy carts and foot traffic.

Compliance varies by region, but generally, restaurant doors must adhere to Fire Rating standards (e.g., UL 10C or EN 1634), especially for doors separating the kitchen from the dining area. For the US market, ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) compliance is mandatory, requiring a minimum clear width of 32 inches and specific opening force limits (usually under 5 lbs). Ensure the glass used is certified under ANSI Z97.1 or EN 12150 for impact safety.

To maintain a pleasant dining atmosphere, doors separating the kitchen or utility rooms from the dining area should have a high Sound Transmission Class (STC) rating. Look for doors with perimeter acoustic seals and automatic bottom seals that drop when the door closes. A rating of STC 30 or higher is recommended to effectively block the noise of dishwashers and food preparation.

Request that the supplier uses reinforced plywood crates (ISPM 15 compliant) rather than standard cardboard. Ensure each door is separated by EPE foam padding and that glass components have corner protectors. For large orders, it is highly recommended to book a Pre-Shipment Inspection (PSI) via a third party to verify the packaging integrity before the container is sealed.

When sourcing on Made-in-China.com, provide a detailed Technical Data Sheet (TDS). Do not just ask for a 'standard door'; specify the exact alloy grade, powder coating thickness (microns), and hardware brand (e.g., Dorma or local high-quality equivalents). Negotiate a 'Golden Sample' approval process where the bulk production must match the confirmed sample's material density and finish quality.

Commercial doors are often 'oversized' or 'out-of-gauge' cargo. Use CIF (Cost, Insurance, and Freight) if you want the supplier to handle the risk to the port, but DDP (Delivered Duty Paid) is often preferred for first-time buyers to avoid hidden local port charges and complex customs clearance. Ensure the supplier provides the correct HS Code (typically 7308.30 for steel or 7610.10 for aluminum) to avoid tariff penalties.

Utilize the secured payment services provided by Made-in-China.com to ensure funds are only released upon proof of shipment. For high-value contracts, implement a 30-60-10 payment structure: 30% deposit, 60% after passing the quality inspection but before shipping, and the final 10% retention fee released after the goods arrive and are inspected for concealed damage.
