R7s halogen lamp manufacturers

Buyers must prioritize luminous flux (lumens) and color temperature (typically 2700K-3000K) to ensure the lighting meets application needs. The length of the lamp (78mm, 118mm, 189mm, or 254mm) is the most critical physical attribute, as even a 2mm discrepancy can prevent installation in standard fixtures. Additionally, verify the rated life hours (usually 2,000 hours) and ensure the UV-stop quartz glass is used to prevent discoloration of illuminated objects.

For the European market, products must carry the CE mark and comply with the RoHS Directive to ensure no hazardous substances are present. Due to energy efficiency regulations like ErP (Energy-related Products), many traditional halogens are being phased out; therefore, ensure the supplier provides Energy Labeling documentation. For North America, UL or ETL listing is essential for fire safety and insurance compliance.

Request a pressure test report for the quartz tube to ensure it can withstand high internal temperatures. Check for reinforced filament support to prevent premature failure due to vibration. It is highly recommended to conduct a switching cycle test (on/off 15,000 times) and a color rendering index (CRI) verification, where halogen lamps should ideally score CRI 100 for perfect color reproduction.

R7s lamps are primarily used in floodlights, security lighting, and high-end interior uplighters. Because they generate significant heat, the thermal dissipation design of the fixture is vital. Buyers should ensure the lamps are fully dimmable (0-100%), which is a core functional advantage of halogen technology over many LED alternatives in specialized architectural lighting.

The most significant risk is fragility. Quartz glass is highly susceptible to breakage during transit. You should mandate double-wall corrugated export cartons and individual shock-absorbing inner packaging (blister packs or foam sleeves). Always include a fragility clause in your shipping contract and consider sea-freight insurance to cover potential breakage losses.

Focus on Tiered Pricing based on annual volume rather than a single order. Ask for a 2-5% defect allowance or spare units (FOC - Free of Charge) to be included in the container to offset potential shipping damage. For long-term cooperation, negotiate Net 30 payment terms after a successful initial trial period to improve your cash flow.

Utilize Secured Trading Services provided by Made-in-China.com to ensure funds are only released upon proof of shipment. Always conduct a Pre-Shipment Inspection (PSI) by a third party (like SGS or Intertek) to verify that the quantity, wattage, and safety markings match the Proforma Invoice before the final balance is paid.

Be aware of Anti-Dumping Duties and Energy Efficiency Bans. Many regions (like the EU) have restricted the sale of high-wattage halogen lamps. Before ordering, confirm with your customs broker if the specific HS Code (typically 8539.21) is subject to additional environmental taxes or import restrictions in your destination country.
